Learning Support & SEN

The Progress Centre is led by the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and a team of teachers and learning support staff.

The team provides appropriate and engaging intervention programmes and class support for pupils with additional educational needs. Pupils may be supported in areas of English, Mathematics, Social skills, Communication skills, Sensory / Physical needs and Organisation. Team members work in collaboration with class teachers, parents and sometimes specialist professionals to set targets, teaching approaches and outcomes which enables our teaching to be as effective as possible. The additional provisions made for pupils are mapped, monitored and reviewed half termly to measure their progress.
