Children must have reached their fourth birthday before joining the school. Parents wishing to register a child should complete the Registration Form and send it, together with the Registration Fee, to the School Secretary. This fee is non-refundable. Registration may take place on or at any time after a child's first birthday.
Interviews take place in the autumn term prior to the year of entry. Registration does not guarantee an interview and siblings have priority. When sibling interviews have taken place, other registered pupils are interviewed according to the date of registration until available places are filled. This ensures that there is no weighting towards the older child and that parents who have been keen to have their child considered by the school from the earliest possible moment have the best chance of being called for interview. On being offered a place, parents have 7 days in which to accept by completing a Form of Acceptance. This must be sent to the School Secretary together with the deposit of approximately half a term's fees. The deposit/balance will be returned to parents once the child leaves year 6, subject to all outstanding fees being settled.
Occasional places for older children may become available. In the first instance, parents should send a completed Registration Form to the School Secretary. Selection is by interview and, where appropriate, a series of short tests in English and Maths.
